Held every four years, alternating with the Olympic Games under the auspices of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) World Equestrian Games are the largest equestrian event in the world.

     The event brings together eight disciplines fifteen days of competition: Competition Show Jumping, Dressage, Eventing, Driving, Reining, Vaulting, Endurance and Para-Dressage.

     It combines more than 60 nations, nearly 1,000 competitors to introduce 500,000 expected on sites equestrian competitions of the highest level audience.

     The competition promises to be the biggest celebration of the horse. A highlighted and beauty of its history, its culture and its influence through an extensive entertainment program. Its main theme: a journey through time, continents and imagination.
     Around the World in 80 horses

     Jean-Louis Gouraud, writer and specialist equestrian world, took his pen to tell, in 80 short stories, the story of the horse and its relationship with man, from the origins of humanity. Since the end of November, the stories began a "journey" through Normandy, printed on panels exposed months after ten months in exceptional places in the region.
     Opening ceremony

     Saturday, August 23, 2014, from 20:30 at the Stade d'Ornano in Caen, visitors will attend a prestigious inaugural show around equestrian culture, using 3D projections combining performing arts, entertainment and high technology.
     A trip to 3 paces for everyone, beginners and enthusiasts, adults and children. A total of 100 horses to 300 artists, dancers, extras, 20,000 spectators.
     The village Equestrian Games

     Located in the Parc des Expositions de Caen, the village is open every day on one of the stories from around the world. Children will learn about the activities of horseback riding, the various equestrian cultures, also by their baptism pony or aerobatics. Open stables will be installed for the public to approach the horses and even touching. The two careers of the village used as the backdrop for artistic performances, demonstrations of trades and disciplines of the universe of Around the World in 80 horses, not just riding.
     Alltech Music Festival

     In the village, on the main stage, will follow one another many groups from all musical genres: country, blues, pop, French songs ... On stage will succeed regional artists and heads of national and international shows.
